Location: GMCS 329
Thesis advisor: Dr Carl Eckberg

Abstract:
The thesis provides a better way to visualize data of a geographical information system on the map using the hotlink tool. One of the biggest challenges posed in the software industry is in designing and developing a customized software product that is in accordance with the want of a particular organization, may it be a high school, small organization or a very large firm. The idea was to pick an interesting theme, and collect data about it, including, but not limited to latitude-longitude. This thesis discusses one such software which is basically a software developed for describing California’s Water Geology that includes geographical feature, California’s lakes, on the map and discusses the topics related to water like importance of water, relationship between supply and demand, California water war between southern and northern California, different water districts and associations in California, Aqueducts in California and so on in the form of web pages, so that the pages can be easily edited (modified) and updated in future.
