Abstract:
In our day to day life, we can see the large use of spreadsheet applications in different domains ranging from scientific or engineering analysis to making important decisions by understanding business data. We can also see a wide variety of people using spreadsheets to store, view & analyze important data for their vital activities. Most of these spreadsheet programs are desktop based & can not be accessed remotely. The purpose of this thesis is to develop general purpose AJAX enabled web spreadsheet program which can be used in different web applications domains like financial or educational platforms. This thesis also demonstrates how successfully a web spreadsheet program can be used for a course management system – called "ClassTA". In this web application, educators can very easily & quickly create, maintain & analyze student data & can easily know the current status of their class.
