Abstract:
This Project basically deals with development of a dynamic glossing tool for the Language Acquisition Resource Center (LARC) at San Diego State University. The aim of the project is to promote the learning process by providing the reader with additional information about meaning and other useful information for some difficult words contributing to the better understanding of those words. This tool will be available on the Web as well as Mobile device. The web application enables contributors to upload books for the use of students or any visitor. The students can then read the books online and also request for change of content if they so choose. The mobile version allows reading, listening, etc, but does not allow edition or contribution. Currently this project supports two different languages English and Arabic but has the architecture to support many other languages.
