CS Masters' Thesis Defense

Title: GIS tool analyzing interesting events of American History leading to WWI

Abstract:
This tool is mainly intended for the use of Helix High School history teacher, Richard Sutton, and his students, for making the history events more interesting for the students to learn. The motivation behind this tool was to create a more entertaining and interactive way of learning that would attract student activity and interest in the learning of American History and World History. GIS technologies like MapObjects - JAVA edition and j2sdk have been used along with the NetBeans IDE to develop this tool.
