Abstract:
The San Diego Natural History Museum (SDNHM) includes a wide collection of insects, birds, mammals, lizards and snakes. These collections are stored in various database formats for different departments across SDNHM. This project provides an internal web solution where data from different departments can be collected and hosted in one format that is accessible to all.

This web solution includes a central database and an interface for administrator to manage all departments that register to become data providers for SDNHM. The goal behind this project is to provide San Diego Natural History Museum with the ability to post their data in the format desired into the repository, which helps generate a common data exchange format that can be later viewed by any department as one huge database standard. Technologies like PHP, MYSQL and JavaScript are used to develop this application.
